2008 SCHEDULE

Andy Pilgrim & Team Remington-Cadillac, Mobil 1 posts another podium finish. Yes another.

Watkins Glen, NY. (June 8 th, 2008) – Andy Pilgrim of Boca Raton, Fl. Driving the # 8 Remington Shaving & Grooming Cadillac CTS-V – posted his 4th straight podium, finishing 2nd at Watkins Glen International.

Weather conditions, temperatures in the low 90’s and humidity dew points in the 70’s made extreme vehicle conditions for the drivers.

Big Brown didn’t get it done last Sunday but Andy Pilgrim did deliver. With an almost flawless surgical driving exhibition and a little luck, Andy Pilgrim finished in 2nd place behind pole & race winner Randy Pobst of Gainesville, GA driving his K-Pax prepared Porsche 911 GT3. Andy once again stood on the podium with Randy [Pobst} and Michael Galati as they did in the season opener at Sebring, FL.

“Realistically, we are lucky to have a podium finish today Andy said. I ‘m please with a 2nd place finish considering we really had a 4th place car. If it hadn’t been for the misfortunes of Tommy’s [Archer] blown engine & Brandon’s [Davis] engine problems we wouldn’t be here. The Porsche’s, Vipers & Cobra Mustangs have way more top end speed than we do. Were are very fortunate today”

Watkins Glen

Michael McCann and his # 16 Remington Shaving Cadillac CTS-V had a great qualifying session going when the vehicle broke a differential prior to posting a 6th place qualifying time of 156.340. “I believe the vehicle had a better time than we posted. I got backed up in the bus stop with slower vehicles. Then I started to take a run for a better qualifying lap when coming onto the front straight I heard a hammering noise from the rear end and pulled into the pit entry.” ‘Later on we discovered the ring gear in the differential was coming apart. Better now than the start of the race. We dodged a DNF there.” Michael said.

“The Team Remington Cadillac-Mobil 1 crew gave us great cars today and I am very please with my 5th place finish as well as Andy pulling out another 2nd place.” Michael stated.

Next stop for Team Remington Cadillac at famed Mid-Ohio, July 17th-20th which is round # 5 of the SCCA World–Challenge GT series.
